V Festival 'scam' ticket agency investigated by trading standards office

SOS Master Tickets, the ticket agency that reportedly failed to deliver up to 800 V Festival tickets to fully paid-up customers, are being investigated by trading standards officers.


Hundreds of thwarted fans were left without tickets to last weekend's V Festival at both the Chelmsford and Staffordshire sites, with some having paid up to �180 per just the ticket. Fans aforesaid that representatives from the agency ignored their headphone calls and emails regarding the tickets.


A spokesperson for Islington Town Council confirmed that action was now being taken against the ticket agency.


They said: "Islington Council's trading standards ar aware of SOS Master Tickets and are in the work of carrying out an investigation into their activity.


"So far there have been more than than 300 complaints to the national Consumer Direct helpline."

SOS Master Tickets is registered to a residential address in Islington, The Times reports.


In a further turn of events to the story, the Press Association quotes Graham Burns, chairperson of the Association Of Secondary Ticket Agencies as saying: "We alerted the authorities to this [web site] some months ago, because the prices they were offering for tickets were simply not achievable.


"They were offering a weekend's camping at these festivals for �200, and that is non a realistic figure."

Burns said he was now concerned that up to 2,000 other people - including those wHO purchased tickets for this weekend's Reading And Leeds Festivals - may be also be affected by the supposed scam.

Amy Winehouse To Pay Tribute To Husband On New Album

Amy Winehouse will play tribute to her hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil, on her forthcoming album, it's been reported.


The vocalist is ostensibly keen to display her affection for her hubby by inscribing 'For My Blakey x' on the album sleeve.


Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month prison house sentence for assault and perverting the course of justice.


Winehouse is aforementioned to be determinded to finish recording the followup to 2006's 'Back To Black' earlier her hubby is released � perchance as early as Christmas.


Speaking to the Sun paper, a source said: �[Winehouse] wants something to ingrain him with because he has accused her of just sitting around doing nothing piece he has been service time.�


Meanwhile, Fielder-Civil moved last week from Pentonville prison in London to HMP Edmunds Hill in Suffolk.
